Born in Savoy, Franck grew up with his feet in the snow and his head in the mountains. On skis from an early age, he perfected his style at the Manigod Sports Club until he obtained the State Diploma in Alpine Skiing. Curious about new experiences, he starts snowboarding and even participates in a few European slalom cups. His passion for studying and travelling temporarily takes him away from his valley. He travels the world in search of a playground to indulge his passions. From Moscow to Ushuaïa, through Queenstone in New Zealand or 'Playa Grande' in Costa Rica, he learns swaddling clothes and discovers cultures. Skiing, hiking and mountain biking offer him unforgettable experiences, which he now uses in his work.

Audrey
Haute-Savoyard purebred, Audrey grew up in the heart of the Aravis valley. She forges her character according to the seasons. As a teenager, she spent her teenage years scouring the slopes in search of blueberries, raspberries and wild berries. Jovial and cheerful, she intends to work in tourism. To obtain her diploma, she completes her experience in international resorts and takes the opportunity to visit many exotic countries. Today she is the mother of a little girl and always delighted at the idea of going hiking in the mountains, she is in charge of the toy, textile and accessories department. Audrey has always developed her technical skills in the fields of the talking Marmot, après-ski, hiking and Nordic walking.

Our history
In 1978, the Allin family opened their first shop, Val Sports, on the Col du Merdassier. Ski instructors fell in love with this resort and it grew into the commune of Manigod. We have a passion for skiing and living in the heart of the mountains, but mostly we desire to live in harmony with the environment.
In 2015, our commitment guided our new team. The desire to make the mountain accessible to all by offering the best products at the lowest prices and by allowing as many people as possible to enjoy their passions guides us throughout the year. For more than 35 years, our shop on the slopes of La Clusaz has offered both the rental and sale of ski equipment, snowboard gear and outdoor equipment.
With our ski resort experience, we had the desire to embark on a new challenge. We decided to offer our expertise as widely as possible by creating our online sales site. In 2005, we created SnowUniverse.
With more than 70 brands on snowuniverse.com, you can find our entire collection of new skis as well as all our accessories such as ski goggles, sunglasses, gloves, hats, backpacks, and also our special section for Nordic walking.
We’ve chosen to remain by the ski slopes and offer distance selling because we wish to maintain our expertise of the mountains, in the mountains. We test and experiment with mountain equipment to choose the best equipment to offer for sale.
